About Us

Intuitect was born of frustration. As IA and UX practitioners, we were confounded by the time we wasted creating, updating, and synchronizing multiple visualizations of the same project.

Thinking "there must be a better way," we did some research and discovered that many people, for many years, had a similar complaint. But we were fortunate to be a web development team with a software engineer on board. In December 2004, Jason Williams, currently our CEO, wrote an email:

"I have an idea: a design tool that validates designs against pre-defined and user-defined rulesets. It could spit out content inventories/screen layouts/schematics/site maps, it could be the offline interface for IAs to manage the content development process within project teams, it could interact with and feed content management systems... possibilities abound... "

In 2007 we introduced Intuitect Professional, the first and only integrated toolset for IAs and UX designers. Our mission is to continue to create industry-leading tools and methods that enable professional website designers to create positive user experiences.

KMS Group, Inc (dba Intuitect) is a privately held company whose investors include Lacuna LLC. The company is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado.
